MRAUK U    

Maha Myat Muni
Carried back to Mandalay as war booty from the Arakan kingdom of Mrauk U, this Buddha image is one of the most popular pilgrimage sites in Burma.  Every 4:00 AM, people line up for a chance to wash the Buddha's face.  Used items such as cloth, towels, and discarded water from the Statue are kept as sacred items.

KYAIK HTI YO

Kyaik Hti Yo Paoda

It's seven miles up the mountain, through the jungle.  It is famous for its stability on the edge of the cliff. Golden rock is actually touching the cliff and will rock if pushed.  Roads were built a few years ago, and now the Rock is accessible by car.  It used to be a 1 or 2 days trip.  Now it's just a few hours from Yangon.
